Is No-Bake Cheesecake as good as Baked Cheesecake?

The truth is that both are wonderful but also different. A no-bake cheesecake has a mousse like texture. It is light, airy and creamy.

A baked cheesecake is also delicious but the texture is dense and velvety. It is a personal preference as to which you like best but I love that unbaked cheesecakes come together quick and no oven is required.

No-Bake Cheesecake Tips

  • Start with room temperature, full fat cream cheese. This will give you a creamy filling without lumps that also has amazing flavor. Using low fat cream cheese may change the taste and texture of the recipe.
  • Lightly spray the bottom of your springform pan. Doing so will ensure that your cheesecake can easily be removed from the pan for serving.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping to the filling. The whipped cream is going to give the filling a light texture and volume but can easily be deflated.
  • Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours. I like to make my cheesecakes the night before and then chill them overnight. That way you know it will be set up before serving. Plus, it a great make ahead dessert.
  • Run a knife around the edge of the pan before removing the ring. This will give you a nice clean edge around the cheesecake.
