The BEST Strawberry Shortcake Crumb Topping
The combination of freeze dried strawberry, Golden Oreos and butter truly makes this the best Strawberry Shortcake Crumb Topping! You will love the flavors but the best part is that it is totally no bake.
Using a food processor {or zipper bag & rolling pin} to turn the freeze dried strawberries and Golden Oreos into crumbs is really the hardest part of the recipe. Add softened butter to hold the ingredients together and you are finished.

What is Strawberry Crunch Topping made of?
- Freeze Dried Strawberries-Using freeze dried fruit is such a great way to get a punch of fruit flavor without extra moisture that you would get from fresh fruit.
- Golden Oreos-My husband’s all-time favorite cookie! The crumbs of this cookie create the perfect crunch.
- Butter-Used in a softened form to help bind the strawberries and Oreo crumbs together and get just the right consistency.
How to make Strawberry Crunch with Golden Oreos
- Add Golden Oreos to the food processor.
- Pulse until you have crumbs. Pour 1 cup into a bowl.
- Add freeze dried strawberries to the food processor.
- Pulse until you have a powder {there can be a few chunks}.
- Put 1 1/4 cups of freeze dried strawberry powder into the Golden Oreo crumbs that you set aside and add the softened butter.
- Work the butter into the ingredients using your hands {or a spoon}. Continue to work it together until everything is evenly coated.
Tips for Amazing Strawberry Crunch
- Make sure that you are getting the Golden Oreos and freeze dried strawberries into fine crumbs. It is alright for there to be a few chunks but you want everything to be smaller. The powder from the freeze dried strawberries will coat the Oreo crumbs and that is what you want.
- Work the butter into the crumb mixture well. This takes a couple of minutes but don’t skip this step. The butter is what will keep the Golden Oreos and strawberries together and help create the wonderful Strawberry Crunch. You want the butter to coat everything.
- Be creative on what you put this Strawberry Shortcake Crunch on. The options are endless! Make Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake Cones, Easy Strawberry Shortcake Crunch Cake, Easy Strawberry Crunch Cookies or Easy Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake with a Golden Oreo Crust.
