For years a daiquiri mix from the frozen section of the grocery store was my summer go-to. So when I could no longer find it I was devastated {dramatic?..I don’t think so}. That unfortunate event has led me to making a new summer staple, this Mixed Fruit Frozen Daiquiri Recipe.

Fresh or Frozen Berries
During the summer I am all about the fresh berries! They are ripe, juicy, delicious and perfect in just about any recipe.
With that being said–in the months where berries are not as ripe, frozen fruit will totally work. Add frozen strawberries or a combination of frozen fruits and then half of the amount of ice since the berries will also be frozen.
Both will create the perfect frozen drink. So grab your favorite fruit and let’s start blending.
What goes into this Recipe
- Fresh Fruit: I love the combination of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. You can also just use one type of berry. Strawberry daiquiris are always a hit!
- Simple Syrup: Grab it in the cocktail section of the grocery store or make this lime simple syrup that contains both lime juice and lime zest.
See recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
How to make your Mixed Fruit Frozen Daiquiri
- Begin by putting 2 1/2 cups of strawberries that are cut in half into the blender. Then add a 1/2 pint of raspberries and 1/4 cup of blueberries.
- To sweeten this frozen daiquiri up and add a little extra flavor: Pour 1/2 cup of lime simple syrup into the blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth. Note: Regular simple syrup will work here too, just dissolve equal amounts of white sugar and water.

- Next, add 1/2-3/4 cups of rum {or water if making it without alcohol}. The amount really depends on your taste preference.
- For the “frozen” addition, ice cubes are added. Adding about 1 1/2 cups will make sure it is thick but not super icy.

- Blend once again, until you have a smooth, slushy texture and pour into small mason jars. It will fill 2 small jars completely or three jars about 2/3 full with the frozen daiquiri recipe.
- Serve immediately or add a lid to the jars and store in the refrigerator.

Expert Cocktail Tips
- Use a combination of berries. This helps create a beautiful flavor and color. You might also like this Watermelon Limeade.
- Omit the alcohol for a nonalcoholic beverage. Kids would love to drink this cool fruit smoothie.
- Add a sugar rim to the edges of your glasses. This adds a wonderful texture and a bit of added sweetness.
- Garnish the drinks with additional fruit or lime slices. Everyone loves a gorgeous drink.
Storage and Freezing
Store: To keep the perfect slushy consistency be sure to keep the classic daiquiri in the freezer.
Freeze: These frozen drinks freeze well for up to a month. I like to keep them in mason jars that are in individual servings and freeze them that way.
Recipe FAQs
Traditionally a light or dark rum is used in a daiquiri but other types of alcohol can also be used. Sometimes I prefer vodka or even tequila.
Absolutely! Banana daiquiris, a mango daiquiri or peach daiquiri would all be amazing.
