I think it is safe to say that I am not the only one struggling in the Christmas preparation department. I am checking things off of my list but there is still so much I would like to get accomplished. Then on the other hand…I want to enjoy the holiday. I don’t want to be a slave to my never ending list of things to do. Thankfully, here at Practically Homemade I have a lot of really awesome recipes that are easy and don’t take a lot of time. So I decided that I needed to round them up! Why not save time in the kitchen and enjoy those extra moments with those we love most?
When it comes to Christmas breakfast, I have you covered! Here are my quick picks…
One Rise Cinnamon Rolls are ready from start to finish in just about an hour. Delicious homemade rolls that your family will love but won’t have you waiting hours for bread dough to rise.
Maybe you don’t even have an hour to spare. No worries because these Crescent Roll Breakfast Pastries are on the table in 20 minutes. Customize them by using a jam that your whole family loves!
This Cranberry Bliss Mimosa is an absolute no-brainer!! The flavors are perfect for Christmas, it can be made in minutes and who doesn’t want to start their holiday with a little champagne?!
So now that we have breakfast covered, it is time for Christmas dinner. My very best advice when you are hosting any kind of holiday meal is to…delegate. Have everyone pitch in and be super specific about what it is that you want them to bring. Here are my favorite recipes and I think you will love them too.
A Wreath of Pigs in a Blanket is such a fun appetizer. Everyone at your gathering will go crazy for it.
When serving appetizers, I always like to have a vegetarian option and this Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Homemade Pita Chips is such a great recipe. If you are running low on time, then purchase the chips at the store.
For the big meal, this recipe is so great because the crock pot does all of the work. Who doesn’t love Pulled Pork? Serve it alone with sides or as a sandwich with salads and everyone will be happy, happy, happy.
Need a few side dish ideas? No problem. This Roasted Melting Potato recipe might take an hour but I promise you that they are absolutely worth it. The texture and flavor are phenomenal.
Every great holiday meal needs a salad and this Broccoli Salad with Poppyseed Dressing would go with whatever you are having. A few updated flavors take this salad from ordinary to extra special.
For years my mom spent hours upon hours baking rolls for our holiday gatherings. I so grateful to have these One Rise Crescent Rolls because in just about an hour, fresh baked rolls are ready to serve.
Finally, we can’t forget about dessert! Sweet treats to end a meal make everything better…especially when they are quick to make.
Peanut Butter Blossoms are an iconic Christmas cookie and the addition of a little green swirl of frosting with sprinkles, adds an extra special touch.
If a cake is more your speed then this Black Bottom Bundt Cake is sure to please. A moist chocolate cake {made with a cake mix}, filled with a delicious cream cheese-mini chocolate chip mixture and drizzled with chocolate frosting would make a perfect holiday dessert.
Sometimes I want to keep things simple and fun. If that is the case then these Giant Dipped Chocolate Marshmallows definitely fit the bill. So fun and super festive.
To end, here are my Texas Sheet Cake Cookies. I had forgotten just how wonderful these cookies were until the other day. I made a double batch for my sweet Bunco girls and they were hard to share. The cake mix cookie is soft and yummy but it is the homemade frosting that finishes them so perfectly. They are definitely the most popular cookies on my site for a reason.
So there you have it!! My pick of recipes to help make your holiday a little simpler but still every bit delicious! Enjoy!
