Crunchy Wrap
Crunchwraps are a family favorite at Taco Bell and now you can make them right at home. Nicknamed the Crunchy Wrap, at our house…this recipe is just as awesome as the one you love from the famous restaurant chain. Your whole family will go crazy for them.
I know that every year I mention this but Cinco de Mayo is the day that my Darb and I started dating. There I was having a little get together at my house and serving tacos. He showed up and the rest is history!
7 years later we still celebrate with a Mexican dinner at home and this year I will be serving the Crunchy Wrap. I started making them at the end of last year and we all just love them. I have even made them at school with my students and Crunchy Wraps were a huge hit.
The Taco Bell Crunchwrap is the obvious inspiration for this recipe. I think it is always so much fun to know that you can make some of these things right at home. The best part is that they are not difficult to pull together. If you have all of the taco fixings then this is just taking it one step further.

Tips & tricks to achieve the most delicious cookies of your life!
How to assemble Crunch Wrap
Start with the large burrito sized tortillas and add warm nacho cheese sauce to the middle. I like to keep it about the same size as the tostada shell.
Cooked and seasoned hamburger goes on top of the nacho cheese sauce.
The the tostada shell is next. I try to pick out shells that are fairly flat, so that the wrap will easily close.
On top of the tostada shell, layer sour cream, chopped lettuce and diced tomato.
And because one can never have enough cheese, add some shredded cheese. Top everything with a torn section of flour tortilla.
How to fold a Crunchy Wrap
Begin folding the sides in, covering the filling. The torn piece of tortilla gives you the extra cover you need, so that your filling won’t fall out.
Continue to fold the tortilla all of the way around. Hold it with your finger or turn over until you are ready to cook.
Cooking a Crunchy Wrap
Place the wrap folded side down into a non-stick pan {that is sprayed with non-stick spray} over medium heat.
Once the wrap golden brown, flip it to the other side.
There are so many elements to love about this wrap. The crunchy outside, extra cheese, crispy tostada shell, cool sour cream and then the fresh vegetables. But the best part is that your family can customize their own, to suit their liking.
I know that everyone at my house will love them on Sunday when we celebrate another year. I hope you and your family will make them too.
