The Cookbook Launch Party
On Friday, November 1st {the official launch date of the Practically Homemade Cookies & Bars cookbook} I hosted an EPIC cookbook launch party to celebrate. I am so excited to share every last detail of the night.

Tips & tricks to achieve the most delicious cookies of your life!
The Venue
The town I live in is very small, in fact we don’t even have a stop light. So the venue options are minimal. I decided to go with a building at the county fairgrounds and was happy that I did.
It ended up being a wonderful space and was perfect for the 65-70 guests that attended.
The Food
Once I had the venue I started planning the food. Honestly, to me that is the most important part and although I knew that I wanted to have cookies from the book {of course} down the center of each table, I also knew I wanted to have snacks.
My sister and I have a charcuterie business as a side hustle and so that is what I decided to go with. The charcuterie table was a HUGE hit. We filled it with a variety of meats {including salami roses}, cheeses, crackers and other fun treats.
The Details
The backdrop for photos is something I spent a lot of time on. I used a gold frame that I also used at my daughter’s wedding and added a collage of photos that I had printed on foam board {which made it sturdy}.
I had our friend Grace make a balloon arch in my brand colors which turned out amazing and framed the photos perfectly.
To add a big impact, Grace also brought marquee letters that spelled out COOKIES. Her sweet husband had hand made each letter just for this event and I couldn’t have been more happy about it.
Florals
An event isn’t complete without florals and I knew I wanted them to be baking inspired. Turning my KitchenAid stand mixer into a vase might have been my most favorite touch. It sat on the drink table, where I served Pomegranate Lemonade, Apple Cider Punch and water.
For the tables I had, our local florist, BackYard Floral use blush glass measuring cups as the vases that were also giveaways throughout the night. They were the perfect addition to lots of areas at the event. I even had a few on my book tables.
The book table was an area that I had been imagining for months and to be honest, it almost didn’t happen. Living in a rural area can be hard when it comes to shipping and the books didn’t arrive until the day before the party. To say that I was stressed would be an understatement.
Using old crates to help elevate books created a polished look with a vintage element {which is my favorite}.
The best part of the entire party was the people who were there. My family, friends and blog readers {who are also friends} filled the room and my heart. After a quick speech, I signed books and even had a gift wrapping station so that guests could start holiday shopping.
It was a night I will remember forever. Having so many local people come out to support me and Practically Homemade Cookies & Bars was magical! Sweet Wishes.
Congratulations! You are a beautiful and talented young lady! Skilled at cookie baking and charcuterie making/ design! What a lovely display of both!
