Mini Turkey Croissant Sliders with Cranberry Cream Cheese Spread
I guess I am on a bit of a mini kick…first Mini Pumpkin Pies and now Mini Croissant Sliders. I can’t help myself! There is something about mini versions of our favorite foods that make me super happy. My sister owns {and I previously owned} a local deli called The Happy Horse. One of the best sellers there is a sandwich called the Saucy Turkey {turkey, Swiss, cranberry sauce, cream cheese and mayo sandwiched between two pieces of sourdough bread} and for good reason…they are divine. Some days when I owned the deli I felt like that was all I ever made. These precious little babies {in my world sandwiches can absolutely be precious babies} are just as delicious and the flavors are spot on for this time of year.
I found the mini croissants at the end of the freezer aisle but I know that in most grocery stores {if you are lucky enough to have a bakery…we sadly…are not} they are with all of the fresh baked goods. You could also make them with large croissants or even your favorite bread but the toasted and buttery croissants make these spectacular. Although the mini croissants are adorable and delicious the element that really takes these sliders to whole new level is the cranberry cream cheese spread. I served them for dinner with a side salad but they would also be perfect as an appetizer.
