How to make Homemade Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers

    1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent the chocolate-covered graham crackers from sticking when the chocolate sets. Add the chocolate melting wafers to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
    2. Use a fork to dip each graham cracker square into the bowl of chocolate.

    1. Place the chocolate-covered graham cracker on the large baking sheet. Use the tip of the fork or a toothpick to slide it off smoothly. Repeat with the remaining graham crackers.
    2. They are great just how they are but you can go back and drizzle more on top for texture. Once all crackers are coated, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

    Expert Tips

    • Use a microwave safe bowl to melt the chocolate. Otherwise they may be compromised by the excessive heat.
    • Melt in 30 second intervals and stir between each. This will ensure that the chocolate melts evenly.
    • Add parchment paper or wax paper to the baking sheet. Doing so will make sure that they do not stick to the pan and will help with clean up.
    • Use a fork to remove any chocolate from the crackers before moving to the pan. Otherwise the chocolate could pool up.

    Storage and Freezing

Store: Keep these chocolate graham crackers in an airtight container at room temperature. They’ll stay fresh for up to 1 week. If your home is warm, you can store them in the refrigerator to prevent the chocolate from melting.

Freeze: You can freeze chocolate covered graham crackers for up to 2 months. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag or airtight container. Thaw at room temperature before enjoying.
