These bundt cake recipes are some of my favorite desserts to make when I want something that looks incredible but really doesn’t take much effort at all.
A bundt pan is a tool all home bakers should have in their cabinet because you get that pretty ridged shape without any frosting or decorating skills required. Many of these recipes start with a cake mix to keep things simple, though you’ll find a few made completely from scratch too.
If you’re not sure where to start, the Texas Sheet Cake Bundt Cake is one I make on repeat, and the Easy Oreo Bundt Cake is always a hit with kids. For something a little different, try the Pistachio Upside Down Bundt Cake or the Pink Velvet Cake, and if chocolate is what you’re after, the Better Than Anything Chocolate Cake lives up to its name. There’s a flavor here for pretty much any occasion, from everyday baking to holidays.
Tips for Perfect Bundt Cakes
- Choose a quality nonstick pan. A well-made bundt pan makes all the difference in getting a clean release, so it’s worth investing in one you trust and hand washing it to protect the coating.
- Time your pan prep right. Grease and flour the pan just before adding the batter, since spraying too early lets it pool instead of coating every crevice.
- Watch for moist crumbs, not a clean toothpick. Bundt cakes are done when a toothpick shows a few moist crumbs still clinging to it, pulling them any later can leave the cake dry.
- Let the cake rest before inverting. Give it at least 10 minutes in the pan on a cooling rack so it has time to set before you turn it out.
