Ingredients

  • 15-26 slices salami

Instructions

How to make one with a Glass

  • Fold the first slice of salami in half and place over the rim of the glass with half of the salami pieces inside and outside of the glass.  Continue adding slices, being sure to overlap by 1/4-1/2 inch until the rim is covered. This creates the first layer.
Then add a second layer using the same process.  Keep adding layers of salami until you have 6-9 layers {or your desired size}.
Once you have all of the layers added, turn the glass upside down and onto a small plate. Carefully remove the glass to reveal a rose shape.
Use the salami rose immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 days.

How to make one by Rolling

  • Fold 5-10 slices of salami in half. Place the first one down and then add the others in a long line. Each piece of salami should be added to the middle of the one before.
Starting with the first salami slice that was laid down, begin to roll the line of meat tightly. Once you are at the end, use a toothpick to secure it.

Notes

  • Press and hold the salami over the edge of the clean glass so that they take the shape of the glass. This will ensure that the rose stays together nicely.
  • Use a variety of glasses and meats to make an array of roses. This adds awesome texture and flavors to the board.  It is also an easy way to add a gorgeous detail to snack boards.
  • Using a mini brie bite or cubed melon to the toothpick for a great way to add a fun twist.
  • Prosciutto, pepperoni, turkey, ham and roast beef are all great meat options as long as they are sliced thin.  To get a good end result you will want to cut bigger slices of deli meat down with a round cookie cutter to keep everything the same size.
