Have you decided what you are making for Valentine’s day yet?  If you haven’t then look no further.  These White Chocolate Pretzel Hearts are not only simple but super tasty!  I am a sucker for the combination of sweet and salty, so these cute little babies are already a favorite.  Plus, heart shaped food makes me happy.  Take an everyday food and turn it into a heart…I can guarantee that it will taste better or at least make you smile when you eat it.

If you like this Valentine treat then try these…Red Velvet Kiss Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip.

These are simple to make because the pretzel itself, already has heart shaped middle.  All you really need to do is melt the white chocolate or almond bark and fill in the center.  A combination of chocolate and White Chocolate Pretzel Hearts would be extra special.  Bag them up with a cute bow, gift them to friends and watch them light up with excitement.

Begin by placing your mini pretzels onto wax paper.

I used a piping bag to fill the pretzels but a Ziploc bag or small spoon would work great too.

Before we go any further I just want you to take a look at these sprinkles!!  Could they be any more adorable?!

Be sure to only work on about 5 pretzels at one time because you don’t want the chocolate to set up before you add the sprinkles to the top of each one.

Look at that sweetie!

My family gobbled these puppies up in no time.  I was barely able to get photos before they disappeared.  The next time I make them I will be sure to hide a few for myself!  What can I say…I love to share but I also LOVE to eat!  Happy Heart Day!

Ingredients

  • 60 mini pretzels
  • 6-8 squares white chocolate almond bark
  • 3-4 tbsp heart sprinkles

Instructions

  • Begin by laying the pretzels in a single layer onto wax paper.  Melt almond bark in the microwave.  Start with 1 minute, stir and continue with 30 second intervals until completely melted.  Fill the middle of each pretzel with melted chocolate using a piping bag {or Ziploc bag} or small spoon, being careful to get the heart shape and sprinkle with heart sprinkles.  Work on no more than 5 pretzels at a time so that chocolate doesn't set up before adding sprinkles.  Let pretzels set at room temperature for 20-30 minutes or until chocolate is completely set up.  Serve or store in an air-tight container at room temperature.
