BBQ Green Bean Casserole Recipe
In my opinion the holidays are all about the side dishes. Seriously though…I could totally skip the turkey {or ham} and go straight to the sides. Give me all of the mashed potatoes, stuffing, salads and green bean casserole but not the generic cream of mushroom type… BBQ Green Bean Casserole. If you have never tried this combination then you HAVE TO! Not only is BBQ Green Bean Casserole super delicious but it also goes with everything. Keep scrolling to get the recipe and make it for yourself.
I can hardly believe that we are only two weeks away from Thanksgiving. Currently I am laid up in my recliner for the third day in row with my back out.
Little things like… not being able to sit, lay, walk or move without pain always puts things into perspective. Originally I had taken a couple of days off this week to try and work ahead.
Now I am behind and having to take more time from my day job to recover from rolling over wrong in bed {the joys of getting older}. The one thing about having to slow down is that it makes me think, be more mindful and thankful.
I often get so consumed with trying to juggle a family and two full time jobs that I realize I never take time for rest. This time of year is a great time to take a moment and rest, relax and enjoy yourself. A meal with these Barbecue Green Beans is a great start.

How to make BBQ Green Bean Casserole for the Holidays
One of the very best things about this recipe is the simplicity. When you are making a holiday meal it can complicated when you try to either make too many things or make recipes that require too many steps.
With this Barbecue Green Bean Casserole you literally add all of the ingredients to a bowl, stir and bake.
In a bowl combine the drained cut green beans, cooked and chopped bacon, French fried onions, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and black pepper.
Stir to combine and pour the mixture into a prepared pan, then spread out into an even layer.
Finally top the mixture with more French fried onions because lets get real. What would Green Bean Casserole be without them?
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Serve along side a turkey, ham or rib roast to celebrate or better yet…make it tonight just because you can!
What if I want to feed a crowd?
Another great thing about this recipe is that it can be doubled, tripled or even quadrupled without any trouble.
So if you are feeding a crowd, just adjust the recipe according to how many you will be serving. I have this Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet that is super helpful for all of your Thanksgiving planning.
The older I get the more I realize that we shouldn’t save the good stuff for only special days. Although the days can be long…when we look back we realize just how short the years are.
We don’t need a holiday to celebrate life. So take today, make it special and celebrate!
