  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese {or cheese of choice}
  • 4 green onions {sliced}

Instructions

  • Add hash browns to crock pot that has been fitted with a plastic liner. Top with diced ham, salt, black pepper and garlic salt.
  • In a bowl combine cream of mushroom soup and milk, whisk together. Pour over the top of the hash brown and ham mixture.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and stir to combine. Top with lid. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for about 4 hours.
  • Serve your crock pot potatoes and ham recipe warm with a sprinkling of sliced green onions.

Notes

  • Keep your hash browns frozen for best results.  If your potatoes are defrosted, shorten the cooking time.
  • Use a crock pot liner over your slow cooker insert to make cleaning up a breeze.  No soaking and no scrubbing required!
  • For more of a classic scalloped potato recipe put the ingredients in a casserole dish.  Bake covered with aluminum foil for 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees or until the potatoes are tender and the cheesy sauce is bubbly.
  • Serve this yummy crock pot recipe for dinner or breakfast. It is a super versatile dish that everyone can't get enough of.
Store: This recipe is fantastic as leftovers! Store cooled ham and potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
