Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Servings: 8 servings
- 8 ounces cured meats {or deli slices}
- 8 ounces cheese {sliced or cubed}
- 16 mini cinnamon rolls
- 16 mini muffins
- 16 mini croissants
- 16 mini donuts
- 6 ounces fresh fruit
- 1 cup candies or cookies
Add the large items {meats & cheeses} to the board. Then place the bakery items around the board.
Next, arrange fruits around the meat, cheese and mini pastries. Add bowls of dip {if you prefer to add}.
Fill in any empty areas with candy and cookies. Finally, go back and fill in any areas and add fresh herbs and edible flowers. Serve or cover for up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
- Get creative with what you use for the base. A cutting board is traditional but there are so many things you can use instead. Lay brown paper on the counter, use a baking sheet or breakfast tray.
- Know how many people you are serving and the size of the board you want to use before going shopping.Both of these numbers will help you decide how much food to purchase.
- Use small bowls to contain items you don’t want rolling around the board. Using bowls for smaller items, fruit and dips can keep everything in place and help with pulling it together.
- Go back and add smaller foods like fruit to fill in any empty spaces. To get a lush and gorgeous brunch board it should be full and completely covered.
- If you are using larger items be sure to cut them down into smaller portions. This step helps to put the board together and allows everyone to grab a few items.
