Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough {8 count/8 ounces}
  • 32 little smokie sausages

Egg Wash

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tablespoon water

Everything Seasoning

  • ½ Tablespoon sesame seeds
  • ½ Tablespoon poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon dried minced onions
  • ½ teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Open the can of refrigerated crescent rolls. Press two triangles together to make four rectangles. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut 8 strips from each triangle, for a total of 32 strips.
  • Wrap a strip around every little smokie sausage and place onto a silicone mat {or parchment} lined baking sheet. Place about 1 inch apart to allow for the crescent dough to rise.
  • Combine the egg wash ingredients and whisk together. Set aside.
  • Combine the "everything" seasoning ingredients and mix together. Brush the egg wash on the top of each crescent wrapped smokie and then sprinkle with "everything" seasoning mix.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until your everything pigs in a blanket are golden brown. Serve warm with your favorite dip. We like Barbecue Ranch {1/2 cup of prepared ranch dressing with 1/4 cup of our favorite barbecue sauce}. Leftovers can be refrigerated, in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • If you can find a sheet of crescent roll dough, use it. This will make it much easier to roll out and cut the dough because you don't have to worry about the seams.
  • Feel free to use store-bought everything bagel seasoning mix instead of making your own.
  • Don't skip the egg wash.  This will help the seasoning stick and give them a wonderful golden brown color.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days but they are really best fresh.
