Halloween Brownie Bites
Brownie bites from the grocery store are transformed into Halloween ghosts, mummies, spiders and webs with canned frosting and edible eyeballs. Simple and fun!
Servings: 24 brownies
- 1 pkg {24} brownie bites
- 1 can chocolate frosting
- 1 can vanilla frosting
- 24 edible eyeballs
- 1/4 cup chocolate sprinkles
- 3 Ziploc or decorator bags
Spider Webs:
Working one brownie at a time, spread about a teaspoon of chocolate frosting over the top of 6 brownies. Fill a bag with about a 1/2 cup of vanilla frosting and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Starting on the outer edge of the brownie, make a swirl of vanilla frosting that ends in the middle of the brownie. Take a tooth pick and begin at the middle of the swirl/brownie, pull the tooth pick from the middle toward the outer edge of brownie. Continue to do so 5-6 times, being sure to clean the tooth pick with a paper towel each time.
Mummies:
Spread about a teaspoon of vanilla frosting over the top of 6 brownies. Using the same bag of vanilla frosting that we used for the spider webs, make a zigzag pattern that starts at the top of the brownie and stops at the bottom. Do it a second time going in the opposite direction. It should look like a second layer. Add two edible eyeballs.
Spiders:
Spread about a teaspoon of vanilla frosting over the top of 6 brownies. Place a chocolate melting wafer in the middle of each Halloween brownie bite and into the vanilla frosting, so that it will stick. Fill a bag with about 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Cover the top of the melting wafer with chocolate frosting and cover turn over into chocolate sprinkles. Pipe 8 legs onto each spider, starting on the body and stopping at the edge of the brownie. To make the eyes, use a small amount of vanilla frosting and a small chocolate sprinkle.
