Ingredients

  • 7-8 pound pork shoulder roast
  • 1 cup apple juice

Everything Spice Rub

  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Cover pork roast with Everything Spice Rub and put into crock pot {fat side up} with 1 cup of apple juice.  Cook on high for 4 hours and then turn down to low for 2 hours {or cook on how for 8 hours}.  Remove from crock pot and pull pork apart, using 2 forks.  Serve over rolls or in recipe of choice.

Notes

  •  If you make a double batch of Everything Spice Rub, it is great to add additional rub to meat after it has been pulled.
