Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Butter lettuce, filled with delicously Asian seasoned ground turkey, fresh vegetables and almonds.

Turkey Filling

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6-8 button mushrooms {chopped}
  • 2 green onions {thinnly sliced}
  • 3 tbsp hoisen
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 clove garlice {minced}
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

Wrap Ingredients

  • 12-18 pieces butter lettuce
  • 2 carrots {match stick cut}
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds


  1. Begin by cooking the turkey in a large pan over medium heat.  While it is browning, combine all of the sauce ingredients, hoisen, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, almond butter, sweet chili sauce, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.  Add chopped mushrooms to the turkey, the last few minutes of cooking.  After a few minutes the mushroom will start to cook down.  At this point, add the sauce ingredients and  stir.  Turn the heat down and simmer for 2 minutes.  

  2. To assemble, spoon meat mixture into the middle of lettuce and top with carrots and almonds.

Recipe Notes

  •  Substitute the ground turkey for ground beef or chicken.
  • You could also substitute romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves.
