EASY PECAN SHORTBREAD BARS RECIPE

If you’re a fan of rich, buttery treats with a delightful crunch, these Pecan Shortbread Bars will win your heart. They are the perfect blend of tender shortbread and gooey pecan filling, creating textures and flavors that are simply irresistible.

1

STEP

To make a Shortbread Crust, preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper and grease it.

Using an electric mixer, blend butter and brown sugar until fluffy.

2

STEP

Add salt and flour, mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Press this mixture into the prepared pan evenly.

Bake for 15 minutes until the edges become golden brown, then cool.

3

STEP

For Pecan Filling, once the crust has cooled, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine butter, brown sugar, honey, and heavy cream.

Bring it to a boil, then remove from heat and add vanilla.

4

STEP

Stir in chopped pecans until coated, then pour the mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the filling is bubbly.

Optionally, sprinkle with a small amount of flaky sea salt. Cool, cut into squares, and store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
