Step 1:
Layer two refrigerated pie crusts on top of each other. Place your baking pan on top of the crusts and cut them down to the size of the bottom of the pan.
Step 2:
Once cut, place the pie crusts into the bottom of your prepared pan.
Step 3:
Bake the crusts for 15 minutes at 400 degrees, remove from oven and then turn oven down to 350 degrees.
Step 4:
While the crust is baking combine the sliced apples with sugar, flour and spices.
Step 5:
Pour apples over the partially baked crust and spread out into an even layer.
Step 6:
Combine crumb topping ingredients and spread mixture over the top of the apples.
Step 7:
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are soft and the crumble turns golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow bars to cool in pan.
Step 8:
To serve, remove the bars from the pan and cut into squares.
