Step 1:
Combine the meatloaf ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
Step 2:
Mix the ingredients together until everything is evenly incorporated, making sure to not over work the mixture.
Step 3:
Use a crock pot liner and then form the ground beef mixture into a long log type shape. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
Step 4:
The meatloaf will be dark in color and have given off some of the fat when it is ready. Using 93% lean ground beef will ensure that there isn’t too much fat.
Step 5:
The last 20-30 minutes of cooking combine the topping ingredients and pour it over the top of the meatloaf. Return the lid and let it cook into the meatloaf and warm up.
Step 6:
After 20-30 minutes remove the lid and serve with your favorite side dish.
