A Festive Pomegranate Punch for the Holidays

I always love to have a fun drink for the holidays.  It is especially nice when it works for both the children and adults.  I am having a bit an obsession with pomegranate seeds this holidays season partially because they are so beautiful but also because I love the burst of flavor.  So creating A Festive Pomegranate Punch for the Holidays seemed like the perfect idea.  Keep scrolling to see just how fun it is.

So far I have used pomegranate seeds in salads and chocolate bark but this Festive Pomegranate Punch for the Holidays is my very favorite.

The color alone is just so gorgeous at Christmas time.  The hue of red is amazing.  Like I said, I am having a bit of an obsession.

This punch not only has the seeds in the punch but also has pomegranate juice in it.  The addition of cranberry and orange even out the flavors to make it extra festive.

I make mine using a large Mason jar {but you can use a pitcher}.  I love to do it this way because all you have to do is put the lid on and shake it to mix.

How to make your Pomegranate Punch

Start by adding 8 ounces of pomegranate seeds to the bottom of the jar.  I like to save myself a step and buy the seeds that are in a container but seeding a pomegranate can be done easily.

Add an orange that has been sliced and then quartered to the top of the seeds.

Pour in a cup of orange juice.  I used store bought but you could always make fresh squeezed.

Followed by 2 cups of cranberry juice.  You want the 100% cranberry juice here, not a mixture.

Finally, add 2 cups of pomegranate juice {look at that deep red color}.

If you are using a Mason jar, add the lid and shake it up {or stir it if you are using a pitcher}.  Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

How to serve Festive Pomegranate Punch

I like to add the lemon lime soda {or Prosecco} as I serve the punch, unless I know that I will be drinking it all at one time.  Otherwise, the carbonation will go flat if the punch sits for long.

To serve A Festive Pomegranate Punch for the Holidays, fill your glass with about 1/2 cup of punch and top with 2 tablespoons of lemon lime soda or Prosecco {if you are making an alcoholic version}.
